  • $76.00

Alc 12.5%, 750ml

Style: Red, dry, medium to full-bodied

Grape: Cab Sauv (55%), Merlot (35%), Cab Franc (5%), Petit Verdot(5%)

Region: Margaux AOC, France

Chateau Les Barraillots' 7 hectare property dates back to the late 1920s when Ferdinand Brunet purchased vineyard plots from Palmer and Durfort-Vivens. In Médoc, "barrail’ means fence - the small fences at the chateau separate the vineyard from the neighbouring growths. To this day, the Brunet family manage the estate and they are one of the few crus artisans remaining in Margaux.

Tasting Notes: Handpicked and aged for 12 – 14 months in oak barrels. Deep purple color. Notes of oak and prune marmalade. The palate shows ripe fruits, blackberry and toasted aromas.

Vivino 4.1/5.0 Stars

Bold yet light and silky, floral Margaux character for a good-value wine. Dusty raspberry, cocoa, floral nose; a similar palate with dark smoky cassis, black cherry+plum, wet stone minerality and blackberry finish.
